Laser Treatments

For skin rejuvenation and scar treatment, the clinic uses Fotona laser technology, recognised worldwide. The system combines two different wavelengths (Er:YAG and Nd:YAG), making it possible to act on different layers of the skin within the same session. A single device can therefore deliver treatments aimed at both superficial and deep tissue.

Anti-Ageing Protocols

For skin rejuvenation, different Fotona protocols are used according to the patient's concern and goal. These protocols generally involve no needles or incisions; mild redness may follow the session, but a return to daily life is usually possible the same day. Which protocol is used, and how often, is determined after an examination.

Fotona4D

Fotona4D is a comprehensive four-stage laser protocol designed for overall facial rejuvenation. Each stage focuses on a different layer or region of the skin:

  • In the first stage, applied from inside the mouth, fine lines along the jawline and around the lips are softened naturally, in a manner similar to a filler treatment
  • In the second stage, pigmentation, redness and the appearance of pores are reduced while the skin's collagen production is supported
  • In the third stage, the deeper layers of the skin are gently heated to achieve an overall tightening effect
  • In the final stage, a light surface renewal gives the skin radiance and smoothness

Applied together, these four stages aim to reduce facial wrinkles, tighten the skin and produce a more vital appearance.

Fotona4Glow

Fotona4Glow is a version of the Fotona4D protocol focused on radiance and luminosity. Following the stage that reduces pigmentation, redness and the appearance of pores, the deeper layers of the skin are heated to provide tightening; finally, an additional renewal stage directed at the skin surface supports its texture and glow.

This protocol is preferred particularly for dull or tired-looking skin, or where pigmentation and redness are the main concern, by patients seeking a more pronounced “glow” effect.

SmoothEye

SmoothEye is a laser protocol without needles or incisions, directed specifically at the delicate area around the eyes. It is applied across the upper and lower eyelids, the crow's feet lines and the under-eye area.

The aim is to reduce fine lines and mild laxity around the eyes, tighten the skin and improve the appearance of slight under-eye puffiness. The effect emerges gradually over several sessions, as the skin reorganises its own collagen structure. It can be a suitable option for patients who do not want eyelid surgery, or who wish to support the result after such an operation.

Laser in Scar Treatment

Laser treatments are also an effective option for improving depressions, redness or textural irregularities on the skin — post-operative scars as well as acne scarring. The aim is to trigger controlled collagen remodelling in the area of the scar and to improve the integrity of the tissue over time.

Depending on the type of scar (depressed, raised, red and so on) and its depth, different laser modes may be used alone or in combination. More than one session is usually needed, with a set interval between sessions to allow the skin to heal. For scars following breast surgery, these treatments form an important part of the approaches described under Scar Revision.
