Breast Lift with Implants
In some patients, sagging is accompanied by a marked reduction in breast volume. Tightening the tissue alone may not give a sufficient result, so the lift is planned together with a silicone implant. This both corrects the position of the breast and achieves the desired volume.
In this combined operation, whether the implant is placed under or over the muscle is determined by the patient's tissue thickness and expectations — exactly as in a standard breast augmentation.
In advanced sagging and with dense tissue, a staged approach may be preferred in which the lift and the implant placement are performed in two separate sessions. This increases surgical safety and can help achieve a more lasting and natural result.
Recovery After Surgery
Recovery after a lift with implants progresses much like that of breast augmentation; the time to return to daily life varies according to implant placement (over or under the muscle).
